Kaida is notorious for being an extremely reserved person and opens up rarely about herself. Kaida likes to think of herself as a Big-Sis for those that need advice and is there to take on that role, as long as you don’t piss her off. Tattoo artist form undying bonds with each and everyone of their clients. It’s a bond of trust developed over the course of numerous consultations. This was the kind of work that young Hatsumomo gazed at with such wonder every chance she could. Photos of intricate sleeves, Irezumis, and even full-body tattoos quickly became common search history results on her smartphone through middle school and high school. Raised by a greedy businessman and the ever changing girlfriends were the foundations of an unstable household.
Every chance she had to escape, Hatsumomo would wander from shop to shop, watching the intricate work of the artist and ask them all types of questions on their down time. Eventually, she scored a part-time gig as a desk receptionist which meant even more time was dedicated to this fascinating art. Her father was none the wiser as his grueling hours at the office meant Hatsumomo’s double life remained off his radar.
That was the case until the career interest forms were disrupted to her homeroom class. Her options resulted in a conference with her teacher and later a verbal argument with her father. Things escalated as Reiko, he’s newest escapade, attempted to act as a referee for their argument but, even her bubbly nature couldn’t win against Renji’s final say. Bags packed, Hatsumomo spent the last few months of her high school career bouncing between the houses of a few close classmates.
Reiko was the only one to attend her graduation ceremony as her father crafted up a classic excuse of having mounds of paperwork he couldn’t leave behind. Work continued like normal at the tattoo parlor as the girl managed to work her way up to prep-assistant, her skills developing by the day. On one such day a member of a well-known clan arrived well before opening. Hatsumomo’s skills were put to the test as she was personally requested. The dragon clawed across his chest and received high praise.
This was the day she received her new name, Kaida, and when she came stumbling into the underworld of Osaka.

Kaida is often called on "Clean-up Duty" to dispose of any blood traces, bodily fluids, bodily parts, and other such unpleasantness from locations where clan members do their work.
