Description The end of 2019 wasn't just the end of a year, it was the end of a decade. When I was younger that never really hit me as being such a big milestone but here I am, 23 years old and still putting art for the world to see. Let's take a trip down memory lane for each year!

2010

In 2010 I was 14 years old which meant it was time for my fair share of cringe art. Back then all I had was a mouse and MS Paint as well as horribly planned stories that were blatant ripoffs of anime I was into at the time. I was starting to get really into this anime thing around this time which explains the influence on my art then and now.

2011

In 2011, at 15, I did was another other kid would do and try to produce a manga. Naturally I gave up after four chapters but yeah, at least the cover art was really good! I think I have some sketch books laying around with pieces of other abandoned manga with plots stolen from games or TV with at least some original thoughts pulled in. I would like to one day at least go back and redraw this main character or even try to come out with a short strip of how I had imagined things to go.

2012

Most of my art at the time was fairly poor and spare as I was getting ready to enter high school and needed to focus on so many other things heading my way. This piece is still really special to me since this was the finish time I had taken something from sketch to lineart and full color, even way back when with just a mouse and MS paint. I believe I've come a long way from way back when but, it's still nice to relive those memories.

2013

Seeing as the world didn't end I decided to keep pursuing art in any way I could. This was the year I entered my very first RP group right here on dA, with a focus on the Blue Exorcist series, and this was also the year I got my beloved tablet. My girl Hitode was as mary sue as they came but, she's the first character I ever that really developed through her relationship with others. Even with the mistakes I had in rps and the people I, most likely, pissed over by my ignorance, it was a great time.

2014

The mary sue stuck around until I was 18, pushing on 19, as the group thrived for a solid 2 years before it was shut down for a revamp. This art was my first real attempt at backgrounds, multiple people, hands, boys; a lot really. I would like to say I do try to keep a lot of variety now however, I think that's something I can pull on from my past self to push and do more of.

2015

Back again is Hitode Sho! At this point I was getting ready to head towards college so I was excited for all sorts of new experiences and journeys I would have. So, naturally, I dusted off my old girl and tried to get back into things after the group was revamped. While the group wasn't able to regain its former popularity I still enjoyed the relationships I made with the folks there from the start and others long after.

2016

This was an extremely slow year for art for me. Photography became a new passion and as such, most of my focus was on that as well as my college career. I naturally would doodle on a notepad or napkin or something but, the only reason I was even able to make this character was for a website called Void; a comic battle ground. While it wasn't for me I still love Abigail and would like to revisit her going forward.

2017

There's something somewhere I drew in 2017 but with the constants moves of the years it might have been tossed or was forgotten in an old home.

2018

Another slow year of art as college continued to be my primary focus. Nothing really special about this year or the art really!

2019

For my 23rd year I've come full circle in a lot of ways, I feel inspired by RP groups and characters interactions so in this past year I joined at least 5-6! Most either didn't last because of myself or general lack of group moral but, each and every one has been huge to my art development. Without these groups and the friends I've made I might still just be that girl with the mouse and MS paint.

I know this is pretty corny but, here's to hoping next decade is filled with eve more amazing art and experiences!
