Balance, rhythm, light and shade, tone and texture, and possibly proportion and anatomy. It's got it all. A well composed . . . eh . . . just, well composed!

An easel is very handy and helps much. Since one looks in a different angle on the canvas/paper, the proportions come more natural too. Try it!

Wow! That is an interesting mixed-media picture, great!!!
What another nice thing is with acrylics... you can dilute them, 'til they are like watercolour and layer them... this can create some interesting effects too.
I am absolutely sure you will learn very fast to use them!

Thank you. I'll just keep working this one to destruction as a practice. It makes a great difference having the right brushes. Did you get your package yet, I posted it last Friday, hope it hasnt gone missing,
