The 1999 version of Hunter X Hunter where Gon fights Hisoka in the arena (eps 42) is still one of my favorite fights in any anime; I think they did a better job on Hisoka's freakout than the remake, however the beginning of the fight in the remake ended up godly.My first and hopefully not last Hunter X Hunter fanart!

I like how they use character archetypes for what their strengths are ability wise. Probably my favorite shonenΒ

This is so freaking good!! You draw so well! And I agree, Hisoka's freakout scene was done better in the 1999, especially when Gon had punched him in the stomach and he was bent over and they slowed down the footage (not sure if you know the part I'm talking about). And yep the beginning of the fight in the remake was awesome! Great job combining them. Hisoka is my favorite character too

?? This was drawn from stopping scenes from both versions of the anime (1999 and 2011) and putting them together (and changing them a little bit) so I'm not sure what you mean, this IS the original.

I know the bottom with Killua and Zushi is ep 42 from the 1999 series, I think the part when Gon starts wailing on Hisoka and they are cheering (its been over a year since I've drawn this, forgive my vagueness) Gon and Hisoka are from the 2011 and I cannot remember the episode number but its at the beginning of the fight
