Description
The Legend of the Spectre has been passed down through centuries of Majai who are sworn to protect it. Since the beginning of the Order of the Majai, they have imbued within them the majiks beyond simple natural majiks in correspondence with rank and status of their gift. Yet, Majai were not all-powerful, and had binding on their gifts to insure balance for the cosmos, and all were one under the Matronous, the leader of the Majai. Most Majai at this time were Titan and human alike,, yet the Titans, naturally being more in tune with magik and the creator goddess due to their lineage.

Written accounts say of Majai long ago who banded together in the hundreds to create an ultimate weapon, the Felis. Their logic was based upon the reality that mass-unending war for the future could only be stopped with this weapon. They made sure the one who would wield it, the Spectre, would be one of great wisdom and possessed an undying concern for preserving peace throughout the cosmos. Only after this was it discovered that no one Majai had the right qualifications to become the Spectre, and inevitably war broke out among the Majai. The cosmos suffered so much that the Matronus decided that, for the good of the cosmos, the Felis would be sealed away until the Spectre was revealed, and until then, the Majai would be solely responsible for their actions, and therefore stripped of their gift. Hundreds involved with the war were suddenly without their gift, and the few remaining, in fear of retaliation, went into exile.

Post-apocalypse, seldom remember the legend of the Spectre, and even the existence of Majai due to the ruthless nature of Earthen tyranny and government controls of majiks. The civil unrest among the cosmos and unceasing interplanetary war have provoked many creatures of the cosmos to put their faith in something other than unfulfilled promises of universal order by the Earthen oppression. Ten remaining Majai decided that the threat of another massive counterstrike was too great, and banded their majiks together to remove the seal and release the Felis onto the cosmos once more, hoping that it would draw out the Spectre. They did not realize that there were some among them who aspired to control the weapon for themselves, but the act of breaking the seal was so desperate, they did not feel they had another choice. When they broke the seal, the power of the Felis was unleashed upon the realm, and into the cosmos. The betrayers killed four of their colleagues after the seal was broken, but failed to realize that the true Spectre would be the only one to control the Felis, and in the process, lost the power of the Felis itself. After the betrayal and escape, the six remaining divided, three to find the Spectre, and three to hunt down the Felis.
