she looked around, and all was quiet. the wind rippled around her as she drank in the beauty of it. she knew somewhere in the clouds she was watching and became quickly ashamed. she saw scenes in her head when things weren't right and took a step forward. it felt so easy, the wood was uneven but oddly soothing to the soles of her feet and the hills around her were like friends that were always there, yet always unreachable. it reminded her painfully of her life and she took another step forward, catching her toe on a jutting nail. It did not hurt, she knew pain worse than this. But the blood interested her, reminded her she was alive, and as it dyed the wood scarlet she felt uncomfortable. like the water lapped against the pier, memory came and went inside her head. each image held the same thing. her. alone. by herself among the troubles and fake smiles. her solution. once she was gone there would be no ripple to show were she had slipped away. No-one would ever know

[ah. i hit the wrong button, sorry ]
. Her parents. without realising it she took a step back, but did not turn away, the end was so close. every thing had seemed so..unreal.. up until now. but when it came down to it, would she have the strength to let go? or even harder, the strengh to hold on? if she left now noone need ever know her trail of thought, her inclination towards a way out. Sitting, her senses began to evaluate everything; the birds, murderers but prey. hills, guardians yet imprisoning. the sky, glorious yet...yet what? the sky commanded life. watched it come and go, become numb to misery, and happiness. the sky did not care, it carried clouds to their destination drowned some, burned others, blessed the rest. the water which showed the sky in a different light, casting gratitude. it played a clever game the sky.
sighing she stood again. could she defy the sky its chance to lead her? her eyes stung, her sister was up there, in the sky. she would not let the sky show her sister her weaknesses. turning from the scene of tainted tranquility and pushed her way back through the thorns.eyes closed she felt her way back to the forsaken path throught the hills. suddenly the thorns stopped and she opened her eyes. one person. a girl she recognised vaguely. tears scorching what should be a pretty face holding herself as if withholding herself. the girl had seen pain others had missed, searched for signs she felt herself, but held silence. then without warning she flung herself into the others arms and broke down. The girl held on tight, not understanding, but there. She looked down and realised that the girls sleeve had been pulled up her arm accidentally. for a breif moment she was shocked. she was..no she couldnt..but everything..why?they were one and the same
the girl was quaking, lifting her head, still crying, she whispered softly
' i let you be, but always, always i could see, and..im.. sorry. i thought you'd already gone. i was always your friend. Always.
