Description
The competition is held by Stevenson College at UCSC. The guidelines demanded that "Stevenson" and "UCSC" be included on the design, and suggested that the college theme "Self & Society" be included.
Every incoming Stevenson frosh must take a core course involving philosophical, sociological, etc readings, so I took some of the authors of the readings and put them in. My original thought was to mimic Mt Rushmore, but it turned out differently and I liked it.
Left to right, the faces are of Marx, Freud, Stevenson, and Malcolm X. The original design had Sartre in X's place, but the committee suggested I included X. The design was first made in a rush and I hadn't thought of X, but he fits better and I just like him better overall so I'm glad they suggested it.
The font is "CARBON BLOCK"
