I'm not terribly happy with this, as it is a piece. But it'll do. Kiefer doesn't look as cute as he usually does, and Jamison...doesn't look like Jamison at all. o_O

Jamison lost no time in trying to go corral one of the missing horses from the circus that they had discovered early in the morning. Hopping on Kiefer and grabbing a rope, he headed out.

As Kiefer trotted along at a lazy pace, Jamison readied the rope, it not having been prepared to be used as a lariat. He tied the knot so that if it caught, the rope would tighten, and made sure the horn was sturdy enough to deal with the pull of an escaping horse when it was tied to him. Finally, in the corner of his eye, he spotted a blaze of white and black streaking by. Kiefer was a cow-horse at heart, and so Jamison trusted that those instincts would click in and that the pursuit would be fairly simple. They charged after the circus horse at top speed, with Kiefer being large and bulky, but with the circus horse not used to running, especially at long distances. Jamison found himself winding through a colorful canyon as they made their way and caught up to the escapee. He readied his rope. "Come on big fella, we can do this." Jamison muttered under his breath, before putting his heels to the big chestnut and making him go full charge. Jamison whirled the rope around a few times before taking aim on the horse. It hit its mark easily and Jamison wrapped the rope around the horn as quickly as possible so it took the force of the stoppage of the escaped horse rather than his hand. Rope burn was not something he particularly wanted.

In a cloud of dust and after a few minutes of bucking and flailing around, the circus horse gave in to its future and with its head low it started to follow beside Kiefer. Kiefer was excited to have made a new friend, but the circus horse was not so interested and kept biting and kicking at him with dramatic squeals. Jamison rolled his eyes, then started them at a leisurely lope back to the circus, hoping to be one of the first back. He felt like he hadn't done much for the experience of this journey, and it made him feel good that he had done something right.
