That took awhile, I finally made myself get off my butt and finish this pic. I had the sky+background done over a month ago and it'd been on the back burner ever since. I feel so liberated now - for the last month or so I could never finish another piece because this one was always nagging at me from the back of my head. Now, it is done! Just got up and got it over with in 2 days, and I'm pretty proud of the results (even if they may not be perfect). Enjoy I guess.Ok I'm not sure if this should go in the Fantasy section or misc. section... :/

Edited the image a bit, added borders and stuff. I repainted the grass in the forground but it still looks crappy.

Hey thanks! Those things took forever to do, but I'm quite happy with the results. I still believe this is my best piece so far, though I think I'm slowly moving away from this style of digital art - the sorta obsession with uber-shiny stuff and highlights (also seen in the Velshan piece), and more into a flatter more subdued style or something. Bleh I miss teh shineh.

Yeah, I like shinies, too, but they're more effective when used sparingly. Still, I don't think this particular piece has an overabundance of shininess, so it's all good.

Wow, that's really awesome Su. I like the finished result. You did a great job with the lighting effects, handled very well for having the light come from behind. The grass looks real rough and coarse, looks reeeal good.

I love the evil appearance to this image.. every aspect of it's foreboding. The red glow of the eyes.. the fierce armor.. the storm clouds looming above.. even the harsh wind blowing across the field. Nice work..
