The stars were made by me and the clouds were a combination of brushes, smudging, and painting.

Great job dude, very simple which makes it = good. Nice flow and all nice detailed planet. So you recomend a 4k/4k... out of curiosity, do you use filter>distort>spherilize twice for the 3d apsect of the planet?

I do the spherize filter twice.
Once at 100 & again at 50.
4kx4k is good. But it always depends how big you want them to come out.

hey man real cool this one too. I liked a lot your Broken Angels II. wanted to ask u a question ? how big r your planets and do u make your textures or u use some stock pictures too ? do u make them by greg martin tutorials or practiced on something else? I learned before on those tuts. and some others but can't recall the names anymore. now I improvise my stuff....I'm asking because I would like to make a picture with a big planet full of details....
tnx in advance mate !

I always manipulate the textures first and mix a couple of them to get what I want. I then change the colors and stuff. I don't use any tutorial, just my own process. My planets always come out big. But sometimes I use a small texture if I know the planet will be small. A 4000x4000 texture would give you a great 1000x1000 planet, which is pretty big.

Its nice but shouldn't it be in the Paintings and Airbrushing category instead of Photomanipulation?
Oh well, thats just me being picky. The planet looks nice, I can imagine it being a smaller, dryer version of an Earth-like planet...Even your watermark looks professional, it dosn't ruin the image at all.
