Description
The second piece in my illustration set is finally done!I wasn't really intending these to be themed after the seasons, but I feel like Ame (whose name means "rain") fits really well with summer- though this picture is pretty sunny, some of the rainiest months in Japan are during the early summer.
While I still am open for commissions, it was nice to take a break and continue working on the genderbent senshi project!

Yaaay! It's been really hard to try and pinpoint a character model to base the guys off of. Mamoru and Motoki were too old, Helios technically was supposed to look 12, and Kaito Ace is supposed to be around 13, so I just have to base it mostly on Kaito Ace and a little bit on Helios.... it's a fine line between boyish and girly and it's hard to land on just right. I might even redo Shirousagi's face cuz it's been buggin me.
I would totally love it if you wrote stories!Β I never particularly imagined him as someone who was bullied, but definitely socially ostracized because people think he's weird. But write whatever you want!

And I agree with what you say, The older guys have more mature character designs and the smaller ones have a more girly-esque slightly shota-ish look and sometimes Naoko and Crystal would over do it sometimes *cough*7 year-old Shingo and DILF Mamoru*cough*
Well I think your designs are pretty good, but need a bit more fine-tuning. I think the character designs from Β Shinsekai Yori serves a wonderful reference, the anime starts them as 12 year-olds then gradually 14 then 17-18 year-olds.

I like how Takuechi adds a lot of stuff to her artbooks, like she adds her character then tons of items for characerization
