Also, I know Buffyverse fans have mixed feelings about the comic books, especially Season Eight with the whole Twilight fiasco, but bare with me. People would call it character derailment, but I would call it a fresh opportunity to flesh out and explore those story arcs better. The purpose of Eclipse is mostly to further explore Angel's character, as well as to deconstruct all the morally questionable things he's done over the years and how that affects his relationships with people close to him. He's still a hero and has good intentions, but let's face it: his quest for redemption still got paved with a lot of chaos in his wake, as we've seen from his show.

All Buffyverse characters (Barring my OCs) belong to their respective creators.
