...I don't really get why you came to me about this but if you want a rant back, you shall have one ^^
OK, here we go!
"She constantly whines about her mom" - You mean the scenes where she's sharing her grief with children who have also lost parents in this war?Β And by the way, other characters like Zuko express their hurt in other ways, by lashing out at people. Yet you seem to think so-called whining is worse?
"She is bossy and acts too motherly." - Yes. This is acknowledged in the show and the character is allowed to develop past it, just like Zuko did with his character flaws. Developing past one's flaws is a necessary step in ANY character.
"She is selfish." - Her very first rant is about how she spends all day taking care of other people's needs, including her older brother's, which said older brother does not deny. And her first act is to put herself in jeopardy to break open Aang's globe of ice because he might be in trouble.
"She delayed the effort to defeat the Fire Lord by faking Appa being sick" - No! Nightmares and Daydreams says they arrived at the invasion point four days ahead of schedule. "so that she could pose as a god in order to perform terrorist attacks on a local factory. " Wait, you're harping on Katara "delaying" an ARMED INVASION of the capital city, but are against destroying a factory that pollutes the local environment and makes metalware for the army...even when it didn't result in a single casualty?Β For one thing, Aang immediately went running off to have fun in the western air temple after Katara and Sokka's dad got imprisoned, THAT is delaying the war effort.
"almost got Toph to leave team Avatar." - Toph didn't actually leave until AANG blew up at her, and the fact that she was leaving was both her and Katara's fault, because Katara's was right: Toph did need to be part of the group more.
"Over use of 'this necklace was my mom's' - That necklace was actually an important plot point more than once, so it was necessary to convey to the audience how much it meant to Katara.
"Feel sorry for pretty much everyone but chains a 14 year old girl to the ground and watches her cry. I can see her not wanting to help Azula while she was breathing fire, but afterwards she could've been more comforting, she comforted Zuko (the one trying to kill her for the past season) in crossroads of destiny. So why Not Azula?" - Um. Because Azula had literally killed Aang in Crossroads of Destiny? And was literally trying to kill Katara? And, if Katara had gotten too close, would have literally tried to kill Katara again?
"Jealous type, in The Promise she kept getting irritated with Aang's fangirls for small things."
- Those girls were actually taking up Aang's time and attention to the point Katara felt neglected, something that ALREADY happened to her in the Warriors of Kyoshi with Aang.
Compare this to Aang, who got jealous of AN ACTOR ZUKO even though it was just a play. (He also said that if he hadn't blocked his chakra, he'd be in the avatar state - JUST BECAUSE OF A PLAY. Yeah.....Katara is totally the one with jealousy issues.)
"I just find her personality extremely boring and bland. Sure people say 'Aang and Toph are annoying! ' (personally I find them awesome). But Aang is funny and strong... And at least toph is different from other girls! Katara... Ugh! Such a typical personality! She's really boring, I only like her when she dies. Otherwise she bores me to death." -Β You know what's boring? Describing something as "boring" three times in the same paragraph.
But anyway, the fact that you find her boring is subjective, unless you come up with specific examples of HOW she is boring.
This is telling, though: "And at least toph is different from other girls! Katara... Ugh! Such a typical personality!" - This to me says you hold "typical" girls' personalities in contempt as if they are a bad thing (honestly, I don't know what a "typical personality" even is.) and only if they act like tomboys are they OK.
That sounds extremely sexist.
"She is overpowered she learned waterbending in 2 episodes an she defeated Hama who invented bloodbending while she only learns bloodbending in 1 episode"

Quote 'There is not a single thing I disagree with in this post with the exception of the assertion that Katara didnβt know squat about waterbending. Katara did know some waterbending moves, all of which she had to teach herself through trial and error because she was the last bender in her tribe. One move,as she describes in the Waterbending Scroll, took her two months to figure out. Thatβs tremendous dedication, patience and discipline. People occasionally come into my inbox to assert that Kataraβs journey to mastery is unrealistic and that sheβs a Mary Sue for it but dude there isnβt a single episode sheβs not practicing and as these gifs clearly show she applied concepts she learned from one episode to a larger scale later on as one realistically would as they learn.'
"There are way too many episodes about her when there are other good characters that deserve some spotlight too." - Katara gets 7 episodes centered on her out of 61 episodes total, 11.5 percent. WAY too many episodes!
"The single most annoying character ever created for the series." - That's a great argument, except for the fact that it's not an argument at all, since that would require some sort of...um...proof?
"She thinks she should be in charge of everyone, including her OLDER BROTHER." - Yeah, and Sokka never tried to be in charge of Katara, right? *cough* "Jet" *cough* "But really, she can just stfu and stay out of everyone's business." You're right. She should never mend Sokka's pants, cook food, organize group chores, provide emotional support, bring the Avatar back to life, bring the Avatar back to life again, teach the NWT to respect female fighters, defeat Azula...she should have stayed out of everyone's business.
Of course, without Katara there wouldn't BE an "anyone" whose business she could stay out of.
"she is even more popular then Aang (Its called The Legend of Aang not the Legend of Katara)" If you're hurt that Katara is more popular than Aang, I have baaaaad news for you about Zuko.
"her personalty reminds me of someone who i dont like " - Ohhhh, I see. Good to know your opinion is objective and not biased against Katara for a completely unrelated reason.
"she is a bitch towards Zuko even when Zuko saved her life" - Yes, he saved her life...after chasing her and her friends literally to the ends of the earth, kidnapping her, kidnapping Aang, gaining her trust which he then spat on, then aided in the fall of Ba Sing Se, the last hope of the Earth Kingdom in the war. She needed more evidence that Zuko had changed than Zuko had heretofore provided.
And by the way, Katara also saved Zuko's life immediately afterward by catching him when he fell from Azula's airship.
*dusts off hands* Well, that should about do it! Anything else?
