Description
Yauk is a member of wide kauk family, however branch of it where yauk belongs to is rather far from true kauks, such as ekimmas and their vampire kin. Yauk is big and slow generalist that can eat almost anything, from plant matter to rotting corpses of long-dead animals. Yauks are solitary species and they rarely spend time together, even during mating season they join groups just to mate and then go their own way. Yauks inhabit vast tropical plains of fernworld where they follow herds of moving native fernian organisms resembling earth's ruminants. Sometimes they even try to snatch calves from said herds, if there is too little food around.
