A Murder of Ravens is the reworking of an artwork first created digitally then lost in a computer crash about 18 months ago. My daughter asked if I could paint it again, this time using traditional methods. She also thought up the nifty title.Related content

This is fantastic. I love the character and the anger in her face, I almost said cruelty... and then in a closer look saw a lot more depth of character and that it's more of a mood than her nature overall, that these features have as much potential for peace or a smile or a ravenish garrulous humor. The raven's grand too, but that blue face is riveting. It breaks any idealized too-sweet view of faerie in one rough glance -- and it's her mouth as much as her eyes that conveys her anger. Wonderful piece! I'm so glad you reconstructed it.

Everything about this is gorgeous!
As one who loves elves, and indeed may be a bit too obsessed with elves, this caught my eye immediately. I love the colors in this, the composition, the balance, the energy, the movement, your stylistic approach, everything!
Ah! I can only hope to produce art on this level someday! I struggle anywhere from five to ten hours every day with my art, and have yet to produce anything like this.
What was the inspiration behind this piece? Is this an original character of yours, perhaps from an RP or an original work of prose fiction? Or is this a fan art from a fantasy novel?
