Sorry for the late reply! We figured that they must be harmless because he's such an amazingly healthy cat, especially considering his nightmarish birth. He's the biggest cat we've ever seen or had among our "pride"! But, he loves to be picked up, held and kissed~purring extra-super-loudly for the extra attention.
It's so odd that he seems to back off from any fight though he obviously could trounce the biggest tomcat. He's our gentle giant.

I confess that that picture makes me laugh each time I look at it. Joe is so funny and cute especially because he's so gigantic that one might not expect anything like that. He's like a kitten who has been enlarged; he acts like a little fellow so much.
It just amazes me to see him and to remember the circumstances of his birth. He's a survivor! But, it took my mother's nerve and determination to rescue him; I can't imagine what strength it took to basically do surgery on that ball of kittens. To think: That tiny, weak creature grew up to become the largest cat we've ever had and likely ever saw.

Yes, he is! And I know how lucky I was to catch that moment since my camera has such a slow shutter speed and rarely flashes at the most-needed times. When I loaded it onto the computer and saw it the first time, I burst into laughter! I was so happy that I could catch our beautiful, gentle giant in such a humorous moment.

I agree! It makes me wish I had a better camera because I miss so many funny/cute moments with our clutter of cats. I miss sneezes, yawns, and all of those adorable moments one only sees fromΒ kittycats. *purrrrgiggle*
I have a couple of funny faces coming up once they're cropped and sharpened.
