Description My queen is gone,
The end is near
There is no life without her here.

So many paths we've walked together
That I will now have to thread alone
For my queen is forever gone.

The only one left,
They all wait for me
To join them once for all eternity.

This heart is too old to bear this weight
So I will lay right by her side
For even in death she is my bride.

-------

I wrote this short poem to serve as sort of a description for the picture...

Thank you!! This is one of my favorite pictures also. I find it kind of sad and it reminds me how life passes by... I knew I wanted to take it when I found the chess board with only one side dusty (that's why the left side is white-ish, it's actually dust ^^), the idea just came

Yes, that's a good way of putting it. It has a melancholy feeling to it, and it works together with the poem so well. The dust is a brilliant idea too! I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out.
