Some of you may remember this line art: [link]Here it is in color ^^ Done in ballpoint pen and watercolor paints. This one was a lot of fun to do. It was finished while watching Isvoc's stream, by the way.
They're linked by color! The lighter dragon has dark horns and spots on the fins, the darker dragon has light horns and spots on the fins.
There's a bigger version available under the download-button, for the people who'd want one.

Yes, I like the left one better as well. It was the first one I drew ^^ Originally, I didn't plan on drawing two dragons at all, it would just be the one on the left with some magic swirls of color splashed around it. But it just seemed so empty ;/ So I added the second one ^^

I actually wanted to write a longer reply, but I had an appointment to hurry to, and still wanted to express my gratitude a little. It's absolutely wonderful to have people call your work unique. I think that's very important to an artist and I appreciate it very much.
It is also really nice to see a person who truly analyzes and appreciates certain forms of art, like yourself. A lot of people pass by, click the fave-button and run off. They like the piece, but don't really take the time to scan inbox-deviations for things they would cherish. (Not that I'm not happy with faves X) Faves are good. But it's neat if somewhat surprising to find a real art appreciator.)

I saw this piece from you only minutes after it came out, loved it, and I deliberately set it aside until I could do it justice by giving it a decent comment along with the fave. Sometimes I might fave lineart, but if there's a hint or promise of a colored version coming, I usually wait to fave and comment when the color arrives.

interesting, i didn't expect this colors
i like the linking in the colors, and i like that's it not so "brashing", you don't see it immidiately, you have to look closer to see the association.
also the watercolors fit again so perfectly calm with the background texture, i love it^^

Tell me, what colors were you expecting? ^^ I didn't intend to color them like this from the start. But I was getting kind of tired of coloring my dragons green, so I stuck with earthy brown and gold. It turned out nicer than I thought it would!
They're my personal yin and yang ^^ Light and dark. And God, I love watercolors.

Glad you like it! I was getting a little tired of making all of my dragons green, so I chose to make these two earthy brown and gold instead. It turned out nicer than I thought it would. And God knows I love designing different types of horns <3
