Well, to be fair, Irrilia has grown up with humans, turtles and giant rats. Who happen to have a slightly different language and appearances. You'd be shocked too when meeting your Salamandrian half of the family for the first time... Also, Irrilia doesn't have a universal translator.

Okay, so this thing has taken me waaay too long to make. It's based on on a request from , who won the The hidden Myrlings'competition a couple of months ago. The request was a drawing of Irrilia with Orah reacting to her, or a drawing of Irrilia being babysat by her uncles. I had a very hard time choosing between these two things (both was so good!) and coming up with how to draw them... hence the 6 months waiting period.

So I went with the first suggestion. And added a couple of more characters. The pink one is S'thgala, 's OC. She's sooo fricking gorgeous, I've been looking for an excuse to draw her for a while now. Mona Lisa's parents are also directly based on Winterheath's design of them, partly because I really liked her idea and partly because I'm too lazy and stressed to come up with one of my own. And I'm a big fan of consistency.

Trivia: I actually do have an uncle named “Gurra”.
Trivia 2: Of course you can't visit New York for the first time without getting a "I <3 NY" T-shirt.
