Thank you! I'm glad you liked this piece
I'll try to make more unique landscapes in the future - charcoals will surely help me for the task

Wow you're right! Originally my eyes were drawn to the light tones seeing sun rays but now you mention it, looking at the piece again, it reminds me of the onset of a rain storm with the cool breeze and rain settling in and the day turning dark.Β

I think you did a wonderful job of using light and dark to create both shapes and shadows. It is a wonderful improvisation.
Thanks for sharing your magnificent work with us @Β . Β Have a wonderful day.Β

Funziona anche la lacca quindi? Lo avevo letto da qualche parte ma per il terrore di rovinare il disegno avevo lasciato perdere!

Not going to do a critique, I find it hard as an artist to critique other artists... but, if it was my piece, I would be really pleased with it so far. I believe it needs a little more definition, lean on the charcoal a bit more. Make it a little, I mean just a little darker at the horizon, a bit around the hill at the front and a little lighter around the mountain tops. Even add just a hint of colour at the intersection with the road. Draw people in. Just my opinion.

My pleasure. I have only tried charcoal a few times (GoldenKestrel, where most of my line art, conceptual work is), like any medium it takes time and practice.
It does give some great effects when you get used to it.
I think I said I hate giving critiques, but (spent seven years studying technical drawing and art, between 13 and 20... much, much older now) you want to ask anything, feel free.
