Ah, now this is interesting I simply must admit.
Although this character is far from detailed or well shaded which are two things I am instinctively drawn to when looking at or creating art, this pictures grabs me. It is messy yet very controlled which suits the feel of Hakumen.
I feel although this is basic and lacks any real background or complexity it works on a less is more fashion. Although Hakumen is fragmented and colourless you can distinctively tell who the character is and in a way gives a good image of Hakumen power, it makes me see the pixture as if the world is fading and had lost colour after being dealt a mighty blow.
This piece inspires me and teaches a great deal about this style. I will use it as future reference whenever I want to draw Hakumen. Fav'ed.
9/10 It fits the feel, it is well layed out on the page and reminds of an old anime.
Although I love it, I am afraid I just say something with such little going on around it, if it atleast had some glwoing japanese text or perhaps a skecthy background I would feel more inclined to say it is perfect but it does not. I hope you understand.
