I finally got some nice photo ops with an adult Black-crowned Night-Heron! This was the first of two nice-sized fish that my friend and I watched this bird take down.Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Delaware

I've yet to see one get a meal here but they don't frequent my location, except in passing over. I will say that the one's I've seen in other locations don't look like they're hurting for food. They must eat at night as well and I'm wondering if their red eyes have something to do with better night vision. Nice shot.
