New Generation story-line but Generation 1 or 2 in art style (the FiM pony style just annoys me).

My first real MLP character.

One day, an exhausted mother wolf was walking alone in the forest
searching for her pups. They had been stolen and she vowed not to
return to the pack until she had recovered them. After several days
and no sign of them, the mother wolf was weak with hunger and
sadness.

It was a bright moonlit night when she came upon an abandoned foal
in the woods, sleeping in the light of the full moon. As the she-wolf
approached it, she thought it might not be alive and she was needing to
rejuvenate her strength. But as she bared her fangs, the foal lifted
his head. The she-wolf stood, shocked, staring into the foal's bright
yellow eyes. His eyes were the color of the full moon.

The foal stood up, and with ears pinned back, he said, "I'm not afraid
of you." Then he growled. The she-wolf was amazed by the foal's
bravery and his wolf-yellow eyes. She could tell by his intense stare
that he wasn't bluffing and while she could have easily over-powered
him, she resisted, impressed with the young pony's courage.

At that moment, the foal glowed brighter than the moon. And when the
glowing faded, the she-wolf noticed the new marking that had
appeared on the colt's flank. 2 Shimmering stars, a bright moon and
the silhouette of a howling wolf.

It was at this point that the she-wolf took this as a sign. She knew
right then she would never see her precious pups again, but had instead
been blessed with the courageous pony with the wolf eyes. The
she-wolf decided to adopt the foal into the pack. They named him
Wolf Stare and he lived in the forest, raised by the wolves.

Many years later, the forest was invaded again and more pups were
stolen. Wolf Stare was a young stallion by then, and was big and
strong. It was decided that the wolves would move up into the
mountains that were sheltered behind the forest, and Wolf Stare
would spend his life in the forest where he was raised; guarding it with
his life and protecting his family in the mountains just beyond the
woods.

This works out well and the wolves remain safe with their remaining
pups while Wolf Stare protects them from the forest below. He has
never been spotted but when one enters the wolf forest, one feels the
sensation of being followed and watched, and when twilight falls on
the land, he haunts the trees with his mysterious howl and frightens
trespassers away with his menacing growl.

It is said that one big vicious wolf roams the woods in front of the
mountains and will not allow anyone to pass through. For years, ponies
have avoided the wolf forest, but when years turns facts into legend,
it often makes one forget the truth. Over time, the myth of the wolf
in the forest became lost on the younger generation, so when a group
of young ponies decide to spend the weekend camping in the woods,
the little herd is surprised to come face to face with the legend
himself...and discover that the Legend of Wolf Forest is not a wolf,
but a VERY handsome pony!

Relationship with main pony characters:

Applejack/Enemy: A tried and true farm pony, Applejack doesn't like
or trust anyone who associates with wolves. She sees Wolf Stare as a
potential threat to all the ponies, and she sees the presence of the
wolves in the mountains as a nuisance.

Fluttershy/Friend: Fluttershy has never seen or spoken to a wolf
before so she is very curious about them. She feels they are
misunderstood and wishes to befriend Wolf Stare so that she may
talk to the wolves themselves and get to know them as she knows all
the animals in her forest.

Rarity/Friend-Crush: Rarity is instantly attracted to Wolf Stare,
smitten with his rugged appearance and his courage. That aside, she
feels he and the wolves deserve a chance to live peacefully without
being bothered and stands up for their right to live in safety and
solitude in the mountains. But she also feels that Wolf Stare belongs
with the other ponies.

Pinky Pie/Friend: Pinky feels that Wolf Stare and the family of wolves
would be much happier if they lives among the ponies, and she
believes the only way to get them to agree is to get up into the
mountains and make the wolves laugh. She feels that the wolves hide in
solitude because they are not happy and need to experience the magic
of laughter. Her exuberance often times makes Wolf Stare
uncomfortable.

Rainbow Dash/Enemy: After challenging Wolf Stare to a race, he
refuses and tells her that his kind only use their energy for survival,
not for something as "silly as racing". Dash is highly offended that
Wolf Stare referred to her beloved sport as "silly". She's annoyed by
his cockiness on the matter which makes it easier for her to sway
towards Applejack's feelings about him and his pack.

Spike/Enemy: Spike feels increasingly threatened by Wolf Stare's
presence and becomes instantly jealous when he sees that Rarity has a
crush on him. He is very sarcastic to Wolf Stare and the pony's
brawniness makes him feel bad about his own self-image. When
Applejack tells him a story (that her grandfather told her ) about how
wolves are known for carrying off baby dragons, Spike feels that
Wolf Stare and his family should be driven far away from Ponyville.

Princess Twilight/Neutral: Twilight is faced with a difficult royal
decision as half of Ponyville wants Wolf Stare and his family to leave
the forest and mountains while the other half thinks they should be
left alone. Part of her agrees with the possible danger the pack poses
but part of her believes that everyone including the wolves and their
adopted "son" deserve a chance to live in harmony. She is torn and
wants to take her royal duties as seriously as possible. She is willing to
do what she must for the sake of all the ponies and for the family in
question as well. The issue is split evenly among the other royals as
well, making Twilight's position that much harder.
