I have found the only way to get the whole snail in focus is to increase the f number on the camera. It increases the exposure which means you need a tripod.
I think this a Rounded Snail . Discus rotundatus.

very well captured, the positioning of the snail is perfect and the green backdrop makes it look as though he's peering into something which we ourselves can not see, making it both mysterious and curiously adorable at the same time. great work!
