you know, i've always been interested in self portraits, but i always hate drawing myself. hm.also what's with me and closed eyes? seriously.
i started out using a reference photo but i wasn't liking it at all, so i did it from scratch. i think those are the real self portraits anyway, the ones done without looking at yourself.
i like this style.
i was trying to come up with a good title and everything seemed pretentious somehow, so, let's keep it simple shall we?
pencil and photoshop!

Sandy colours with pale blue is just YUM. It shouldn't work, nothing indicates that it would work, but it just DOES dammit!
Your work gives me a nostalgic feeling. It's got a sort of... retro, hazy memory aura to it. I love the fact that you've put a couple of straggly, stray hairs in this rather than keeping the hair perfect and plastic. The shirt actually looks like material too!
