I´m sorry for burning your eyes! @_@
This is Rhaim Sonderlandt, an unplayed rpg character (the story of my roleplaying life) From the Thorns Uprising rpg
Rhaim's a Wick Artist with Mugrobi ancestry. Hence his dark skin and my effort to give him a somewhat ethnic look together with the random other worldliness. (of course I love a bit of a dark skin, which should be completely obvious by now)
Another obvious thing is that this is a colour experiment...I...went a bit overboard with, BUT...I actually like it. At least it´s...distinctive...right?!
I did not boost saturation or contrast with editing. I actually painted it this bright.
He came out somewhat like he's supposed to look, but my paintings always deviate grotesquely from my intent.
Either way, I'm stickin' with it.
I may fix his eyes later. I just didn't have enough time and I didn't want this want to end up scrapped like a gazillion of my other paintings that I don't think are good enough to show.

Me too. It's my guilty pleasure...I sometimes need to remind myself I should get better at drawing instead of keeping throwing around colours

Hij is echt ontzettend mooi. En ik houd van de kleuren die gebruikt zijn. Geweldig gewoon!

Ik mail je zo even ^_^ afgelopen dagen erg druk...me vader is 48 geworden haha.
Ik denk dat ik wel weet waarom je het niet kon vinden, want volgens mij is het idd chinees. Die tas komt uit een chinees winkeltje die ook wat Japanse spullen verkocht, dus ik denk dat het chinees is.
En die kleuren zijn idd geweldig. Echt een stukje prachtwerk! :3

And the lill braid is just something I cannot seem to escape

Wow, I love it! Goed gedaan, Wen! Superbizarre fractals-achtige artwork, de manier waarop de shading af en toe bestaat uit allemaal draadjes die in elkaar weven. En de kleurtjes, whii, lekker knallend.
Zover ik kan zien is er niks mis met de ogen! Meer van dit soort leuke experimenten doen, hoeft niet allemaal perfect te zijn ^_^ Which this one is, by the way!

Ik merk dat ik het toch wel...erg leuk vind om lekker met knal kleurtjes te werken. En nu heb ik natuurlijk een extra excuus met de zomerspecial :3
Ik probeer er hard aan te denken dat perfectie niet wenselijk is, en het gaat steeds wat beter ^^

I love the brightness of the colors you used. I'm a big fan of high-sat colors, especially when they have that "glowing" appearance against a darker bg. LOVE the hair and eyes.

Yes I know exactly what you mean...I sometimes fixate a bit too much on the 'glow' It's addictive!
I like high-sat more than I want to admit...
I'm very fond of his eyes too though I want to fix a few little things. I build the entire picture around his cobalt eyes haha ^^
