Description Well, as a Stargate fan I figured I had to do a portrait of someone in the series. My favourite characters in SG-1 is Daniel and Sam, and since I prefer drawing females I chose to draw Amanda Tapping. I'm considering drawing another portrait of her, as she looks now playing the part as Sam in SGA (Stargate Atlantis) as this is her old look.
The picture doesn't quite look as the original photo, which doesn't really matter as it does look like her (at least I think it does), and I'm kinda happy with the result.

this is some extremely good work! those eyes just pop right out, so bright against the face yet the face and eyes are both realistic. not familiar with the character but this is really good

- i think you need some more darker shadows, but other than that the value scale you used is prettygood.
- her right eye is a bit off place; the eyes are very well drawn, but try to think about where the eyes actually belong on the face.
- id like to see some texture in her shirt, such as folds and creases.

Sam har sina mjuka sidor med, hon Γ€r en helt underbar person. Men det mΓ€rker man kanske inte sΓ₯ mkt av om man inte sett lika mkt sg-1 som vissa andra ^^.. oh well.

I immediately recognized her!!! Sam Carter is SO my favorite SG1 character!! (Yes I am a super huge fan of SG1!!) And you totally beat me to doing an SG1 drawing! LOL You did a marvelous job! Her mouth seems a little off, but still great shading/detail! Like I said, I totally recognized her!!

Yeah I've been thinking about the mouth .. but eh, I'm happy with it overall since I rarely put any effort into my portraits xD

SG-1 is the greatest, I'm just starting watching the series all over now again ^^ watched sg-1 2-3 times last year and sga like.. 4-5 xD mostly because my friends like SGA better, but I really think SG-1 is best ^^..

ewww...how can ANYONE say SGA is better than SG1?! No comparison! Ok, there is a comparison, but SG1 was way better. Maybe now that Carter is on SGA it'll get better?

Well it does get better in season 4, I must say that .. s1-3 was kinda boring, and there is finally some action in season 4 .. in SGA that is ofc
SG-1 is way better ofc! I just love it all
Have you seen the ark of truth? the new movie.. I don't think it has been released yet, though it is already out on the internet, it's a followup on sg-1 and another one is coming too If you haven't you MUST see!!

i think the eyes are spot-on and I like the way you captured movement in her hair.
My only thing is i think her left nostril could be larger... but other than that great work
