Hey, look! Erik actually has half a face! Woo!ΒI'm going to add color to this one, but I wanted to post the sketch, too. I don't think I've ever drawn this pose before, which probably makes me a horrible Phantom fan because this is arguably the most famous pose in the musical. Come to think of it, I've never drawn the boat scene, either! Holy crap. To borrow a phrase from Mushu, dishonor on me, dishonor on my cow.
As always, I tried to depict Webber's Erik with a Leroux-inspired build. He has the Webber deformity but the creepy, skeletal frame from the original novel.
And as always, Christine has gigantic hair. Which will never not be fun for me to draw.
Can't wait to color this one!
Phantom of the Opera belongs to Webber and Leroux.

for a second there my eyes got mixed up on which arm belongs to which person.... it was a little confusing.

I would just like to say that, and I dont know if this is just my inability to draw Erik and Christine in the same picture, or if its just an artist thing, but this drawing has filled a hole in my soul. It is gorgeous and portrays the scene so well (I just saw the musical again, so it brought me back to be in the theatre!), and I am getting some feels here.Β
As always, your ability to portray Erik just as I pictured him in the book amazes me. You are an amazing artist.

This a wonderful picture from -as you say and it really is- the most famous pose in the musical.

This is gorgeous. Like, this is everything I would ever want in this drawing. By "this" I mean the drawing of Christine and Erik in this "Music of the Night" pose. We've all seen that pose drawn, performed, etc, so many times, but this piece reminds me why I love both the musical and the book so much. I can't quite place it... I think it's just your incredible talent.Β
Perhaps it's also their expressions! They just speak to me. Also, in addition to your Erik, which I've already commented upon, your Christine is gorgeous, particularly here! Also also, these two just look like they go together. Some artists' figures or characters, or whatever, don't always look like they go together. That is completely disregarded here, because I could imagine both of these in the same universe.

x3 Exiting the gutter, I was really surprised to see a half-mask Erik from you!Β The non-derformedy side of his face super super resembles that "If" one you did before. You really did blonde Christine well too! I like how there seems some sort of difference between the way she looks and the other Christine (besides hair color). But I think Erik looks really similar to usual Leroux&/orKay Erik, aside from having a good side. >w< How we would miss that ghastly grin otherwise!Β Β Β Anyway -and this is just my humble opinion/curiosity here- I think it'd be cool to see you develop ALW Erik's look to be even more distinguishable from Leroux&/orKay Erik's.
But like I said, that's just me; and, like you said, if your ALW Erik has the same big-bony-curmudgeon frame as the aforementioned Phantom, ya can't really help it looking like Leroux Erik just growed himself some face and Christine bleached her hair. ^^
