Ugh, I hate drawing backgrounds…anyway, yeah I know, This would’ve been more appropriate for Halloween, whatever, it’s just around the corner anyway.
So I asked a user on Tumblr for permission to draw this lovely little gourd headed fellow of theirs named Guise Galahad. The first thing I envisioned was Guise taking a lovely stroll through the Twilight Trail from the game Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door, one of my favorite games ever! Also really because I wanted to use the color from that specific chapter of the game
Also, yeah he can see the Boo sneaking up on him. Guise is just waiting for it to try to scare him or something, and then he will make his move. Whatever that move may be. You don’t mess with the Mayor!

As you should be!! You have a really interesting way with working with vibrant colours overall, I notice it a lot in your blending and backgrounds and such (especially getting contrasting colours to magically work together

I love artworks/photographs with vibrant colors, they are my constant source of inspiration.
I've been studying and practicing color theory a lot lately, and my goodness, it is one of the hardest things you must learn as an artist(at least in my opinion it is) but it is worth it to get say, ugly colors that look horrible (Red and Blue) to actually work and look nicely together!
Reading this is so gratifying and I am glad my hard is beginning to pay off!
