I really love the shallow depth of field, it's shallow but not too shallow, which brings attention to the foreground in a subtle way.
It's a really nice photo, good contrast, intereting perspective and lots of mood.
I will now cheat and fill in the rest of my 100 words with lorem ipsum because I am lazy.

It's hard to dislike Caribbean, beach, sky, etc. So I'll give you that. The photograph is made to represent "Buck Island" - a brilliant destination in the US Virgin Islands. A destination mind you that needs your support as a tourist destination as they are fumbling their own marketing, and facing dire financial consequence as a result representing a burden to the US tax payer. And to this end kind sir you've fumbled representation, you've defiled documentary, you've introverted your photography to your very own personal muse.
I'll summarize this as a mere "vacation snap" with what appears to be an "expensive camera." You make me sick. And extremely jealous.

I thought the Critique was fair.
I agree with the most of the ratings.
The vision wasn't all that clear.
The originality though I would've gave a 3 star, because you wouldn't see another image like this on the internet(of course unless they're posted it 2x) and photography of a location that is a normal veiw is not original, you need something that's, like "wow, that's something you don't see everyday!"
The technique was also true, they didn't take it at a specific angle or anything, it'd be better if they like, had the camera looking partially downwards and more to the sea.
I agree with the imapact as well, as soon as you see the image, you get the feel from the art, even if they didn't take it all that well.
And what? so like, if I take a picture while on vacation, and it's not all that good, it will disrespect the Country or location I'm visting? I have to keep that in mind.
But telling them "You make me sick." Is a slightly harsh thing to say, just because your photography is so ninja awesome.
But don't you have a Cannon camera? That brand is like the best of the best!

Overall this is a really great photo. You managed to capture lots of great saturated color. I would say that he composure of the photo is great, but the focal point is a bit confusing. I am not sure if you are trying to focus on the black rocks and sand, or if you are trying to get overall focus on the beach and sky. I would have stepped back a few feet and taken a shot with a wider lens to try to keep everything in focus, particularly the waves, clouds and person standing in the background. This seems like a great great place to take photographs.
