I always enjoy to watch your work, and most of the time there is a nice balance in the work, created by the colours and the layers themselves.
This time, however, I noticed that it is a bit to much. It is all very beautiful made, and the wood seems to flow into eachother, but there seems to be too much. The elephant falls away in the sea of wood, plants, birds and fishes. I mis some sort of composition.
This however might perhaps be restablished by reconsidering the colours, and maybe use less of the white wood, do brighten up the elephant and a few details, while the rest can be toned done to some darker colours.

A whimsical departure from some of your more recent work, but that must be because it's a commissioned piece. Your sense of composition is sterling and there is a vivid depiction of action happening around the central subject while still maintaining the focus. Great "depth of field" implied by the use of different tonal values.
As usual, exceptional work that makes me wish I were commissioning you, too.
