Description Please FULL VIEW this piece so it's readable.

This is a collaborative piece of visual poetry, featuring =AngelaD , who took the image I had in my head and made it real. Not only did she set up and take the shot, which is much harder than it looks, but she also did the PS post work, adding the borders and making my poem something much more than I ever thought it could be. Hopefully, this will be the first of many collaborations with this wonderfully imaginative artist!

Thanks dear, it was a joy to work with you on this!

I had the visual idea for this poem before I ever thought about the wording itself, but after thinking about the whole concept of mirrors and how they don’t really show the true you (the reflection is reversed), most of the words came to me in one big wave.

The biggest obstacle I had to over come was the idea I had to reverse a word from each line, so that you could read it both in the mirror and in from the original and have both poems be coherent and connected as well. I hope I have accomplished this difficult task.

I hope you enjoy this piece and I hope you get as much out of it as I had intended.

It's a fascinating poem, and a fascinating - and on-topic - way of displaying it. I applaud you (both)!

I seem to remember seeing this piece of yours once, but I hadn't fav'd it, and I'm not sure whether I've commented on it or not. Having found it (again?), I'm adding it to my fav's as it deserves a spot there and commenting (again?) as to what an incredible piece of work this is.

this is very intelligent work. what i love about the backward/mirrored word in each line is that your brain forces you to look at the reflection of the word on the other side, so you are constantly looking back and forth from the poem to it's complimenting, completing reflection. and of crouse the ffect would feel relatively hollow if it wasnt for the poetry itself--it captures the vagueness, the emphasis on perception, the expressive realizations.. really very stimulating.

Why thank you very much, I'm glad you liked the concept and feel that we executed it so well. As the poet I tried really hard for this not to be a gimmick piece, but that everything from the concept to the poem actually meant something and contributed to the over all work itself. I'm glad you feel we accomplished this so well, thank you very much!

I love this. The idea is good, and well executed. The poems are nice on their own and linking them through reflections like this is unusual and very effective. Reading the poems was more difficult than normal, and I almost felt like I was discovering hidden treasure!

Great piece of work. What more can I say?
