Down below, I will be breaking down the overall development timeline for this design.

(The concept art for this logo will be shared at a later date, likely next week.)

I initially made three different rough drafts for this logo, picked the best two, and the allowed people to vote for their favorite one on my Instagram and on Reddit without mentioning what "Fated Age" will be about. I wanted no bias-driven votes.

To get a sense of what sort of impressions my logo drafts gave people, I asked voters on Reddit to explain why the voted for the draft that they decided to pick.

Many people were drawn to the unicorn-like design of the first draft because of how unique and whimsical it was... And,because of unicorn supremacy! 🦄🦄🦄

However, the draft that won in the polls was too light-hearted in nature to fully give potential readers a sense as to what my series will actually be about. The draft that lost in the polls had the dark and serious aura that I was also going for, but was a tad too cliche with the "angel vs demons" look to it.

One commenter from Reddit suggested that I could emphasize the darker, more serious tone with my color choices. Another commenter from Reddit suggested that I try to combine both drafts into an entirely new design to give my logo the ability to exude the full impression that I desired to leave on potential readers.

As you can see, I took the advice of both commenters and am very happy with the final result of it! 🥰 Since graphic design isn't one of my strengths, I sought out critiques on Reddit to make sure the formatting and sizing of everything on the poster, and on the logo itself were both at their strongest! 🦊♥️
