Art in the Professions week is dedicated to bringing education and awareness of the many ways in which art can become a career or play a significant role within a career. Through interviews, personal accounts, advice and guidance, articles during this week aim to give the community a taste of how they might be able to make art their profession whether it be within their career or as a job on the side.
Is art an element within your career? Do you make money off of your artistic abilities? Do you have any experiences dealing with art in the professional world? Do you know about a great way to use artistic knowledge within a career? Do you know a professional artist you'd like to interview? Then please send a note to projecteducate pitching your article idea!

We are very open when it comes to these weeks, you don't have to be a big shot professional in any industry, you could simply have a lot of experience with selling your art, or using your artistic knowledge within a job that has nothing to do with art! Almost all pitched ideas end up as articles, so don't be shy, and don't be scared to ask us if we think your idea could work!

Our next official week begins on September 7th! However, we like to start as early as possible, so don't wait to send us that note!

There is a place here running 1 day introductory workshops on how to create the costumery and accessories for a character in a theatre play according to their role and personality. And a second workshop about creating scenography also for theatre plays.
Although I cannot write on these subjects myself, if I can find that people, maybe an interview would be interesting for this week?

The place I had in mind is closed (summer holiday), found another workshop, but they seem to be away this month as well. All in all, I can't be certain they will agree and if so, if the article can be ready by Sept 7th.
Regardless, if you think it is interesting, I can do it anyway and if it is not ready by due date this time, it will be ready for next time.

It depends how I focus.
I could imagine it would be fitting if I focused on the artistic subjects (drawing, paper-craft, textile craft or other crafts, like wooden etc.) - then talking about how a teacher can prepare complex artistic processes in an easy way, so that the kids actually dunk deep into art.
Honestly: I think I would learn a lot myself if I would have to write an article about that

When would the article have to be ready for beta-reading? (since I am amidst of teaching and preparing right now )

Hello! 

It's me again. I hope you are satisfied with my previous two articles and are interested to hear what else I can come up with. I am contemplating on writing an article about microscope-generated images from the various scientific labs in the world. There's a world-wide contest hosted by Nikon every year that judges photomicrography generated through microscopes over the last 38 years. I think it'll be an interesting slice into the "science/art" interface. 

I plan on calling it: "A world in a grain of sand: Photomicrographs"
