MONSTERSThey are the beings that hide in our nightmares
And feed in our fear
We see them in the shadows
In the darkness
Or in our minds
We see them with claws
Tentacles
Demonic eyes
Scales
Fur
Covered in blood
Using terrifying weapons or powers
Or anything else depending in our imagination
We use them to explain what we cannot understand
Our frightening attraction to death and pain
Because the monsters in our dreams don't exist
Except for the one that maybe standing next to you.
