time: worked the last 2 days on it, not really sure how many hours, maybe around 16+ hours

So a couple of questions.
Could you tell me please, what pencil did you use to get the black so dark and black? I've used and 8B and it still doesn't look this lovely and dark... or maybe it's the paper I'm using?
And I've never used kuru toga pencils before. Are they worth investing in? And if so, which ones would you recommend?

im using a mitsu-bishi hi-uni 10B and lyra rembrandt splender to decrease the reflection of the graphite. its actually pretty crappy paper with only 70g/m2 but i like it a lot because of its plain surface. well i think photoshop is also doing a good job in letting it look darker.
kuru toga is simply a mechanical pencil..... its very good for writing but im actually only using it for drawing. what i like most about it, is the uniform strength of the lead. the 0,3mm is pretty good for details.... for example the eyes in this drawing have been done by using a 0,3mm kuru toga.
