huhu guys,just another fast fanart drawing
needed like 60 min again.... those are so much fun to draw unlike fotorealistic ones xD
model: hannibal lecter - anthony hopkins
paper: le grand bloc 25x 25 cm 70g/m2 (just half of the page is filled)
pencil: 2b and 8b pencil + red chalk

Your mark-making in this piece really pulls it together. the jagged cross-hatching gives it a sense of tension, and the extreme shadows and dramatic negative space really make it pull forward in the composition. I also think that your choice of media, and switching to the red chalk for the eye, was brilliant. the smoothness/glossiness of the eye makes the piece come to live. way to go

I agree wholeheartedly. I would rather someone ripped apart my work then complemented it so I can improve. Don't worry though, I never just rip apart works lol. That just tends to tick people off, and is not my style. I enjoy critiquing your work

haha ouch that's harsh. I've been learning how to critique in class, so it is fun to put that into play for other people's art. The best comment I heard was that the drawing looked like the new light that his dad just bought for his job as a DJ. He then went on to talk about how awesome the light was, and he would have to show it to the teacher sometime. It lasted for two more minutes. lol. we always get so off-track.
