Description
This is Victoriano Huerta. Back in the days of President Porfirio Diaz (That is, late 19th-early 20th century) he was part of the old political party. When the revolution came and Porfirio was banished, Huerta stayed behind under the new president (Francisco I Madero) and pretended to be on his side until he betrayed and killed him, then rose to power. He was incoherent and cowardly, an alcoholic, and, as seen in some letters discovered,written by him and issued to the president of the U.S. at the time, a shameless brown-noser. He was forced out of power and exiled, and later, when he tried to return, he was thrown in jail, where he died of cirrosis.
