Another shot from NY, this time the view of Manhattan from Brooklyn. I concentrated more on getting a nice picture of the Broooklyn bridge rather than of the financial disctrict, which you can find on most any postcard. To your information, the financial district is located to the left of the picture frame.This was a long exposure. ISO 200, F/8 and 15 second exposure time. I found a great lamp post which served as a tripod for this shot.

I would rather have a normal tripod (which is a shame you didn't have with you. :/), and exposed it less, thereafter using levels to even the picture out.
That would in my opinion have reduced the light pollution in the picture. A polarization filter should also have worked.
