Captain Stanley Staunton is a male 30 year old man with dark brown hair, dark green eyes and dark grey moustache. He is a member of Royal Canadian Mounted Police and is almost always in constant pursuit of many different villains, and therefore Meilin Lee, who views her as a right hand/paw companion and sees Ming Lee/Mingzilla as a useful Kaiju guardian, same with Bīng and Huǒ. During the events of The Turning Red Roleplay Series, Captain Staunton joins The Panda Band and helped Mei and Ming save Canada through many adventures. He is currently investigating many villainous whereabouts.

Captain Staunton first appeared in Turning Red: Struggle at The South Pole at the age of 30.

History
Captain Staunton is a member of law enforcement. At a young age, she studied at Police Academy and graduated at the top of his class. After graduating from the Police Academy with honors, he began working for the Investigative Services Division of Royal Canadian Mounted Police. His boss and mentor was Inspector Jenny Barley. At an unknown point in his career, Captain Staunton became acquainted with Constable Nicholas and The Commissioner Cal Cinders.

Meeting Meilin Lee
When Inspector Barley was nearing retirement, she wanted to know she was passing her department into the right hands. Therefore, she gave Staunton, her rookie protegee and the number one candidate for the job, the task of securing vaults and protecting the Crystal Dollar Bill, a jewel owned by bank general Preston Kerchavski. While patrolling the streets, Staunton found a young lady was looking at a map of Canada . Assuming the worst, he called for some guards and they kept accompanied for safety. Seeing the young lady face to face, she was taken to the young lady's parents. She eventually stayed with her parents and when Barkley found out about his caring safety, she pleased Staunton, thanking him for his protection rule on Meilin Lee

Impressed about how the young lady had made him look the caring guardian in front of his boss, he went on being more careful. He searched backstage for any traces of the unknown thief. While investigating, he heard a commotion around the corner from her position, but when he inspected it, there was nobody there. On the opera's stage, The owner of The Royal Canadian Bank was wailing over the fact that the Crystal Dollar Bill was saved by no than Red Panda Mei herself, she caught the thief that was gonna steal the Crystal Dollar Bill. Then Barely thanked Captain Staunton at the bottom of his heart, reducing him to tears with honor.

And that's when Captain Staunton is part of my Turning Red adventures.

Physical appearance

Staunton is a 30 year old man with dark green eyes, Chinese emperor moustache and dark brown hair. His outfit includes a red Mounties uniform with dark grey pants with gold lining and black boots, blue epaulettes, dark grey belt with a gold buckle in the middle, same with the buttons and the collar around Staunton's neck and has a gold police badge on his chest with both Canadian flag patches on both arms.

Personality

Staunton's outlook on crime is very black and white, firmly believing that any lawbreaker must be brought to justice, regardless of how minor or major the infraction was. Pursuing this vision with his special nightstick and tasers, Staunton was extremely rigid in his view and pursued all criminals with equal determination, from murderers to jaywalkers to thieves, including Red Panda and Mingzilla with his help. Both he and Mei have repressed friendship feelings for each other and their relationship was portrayed rather ambiguously throughout the series.

Despite believing any criminal should be brought to justice, Staunton acts justly to his captives, as evident when he offers Red Panda Mei a box of dumplings during her rescue and ensures that she is safe and comfortable with Captain Staunton. Staunton is very devoted to his line of work, and must keep Mei's emotions under control in order to keep her temper in check. Staunton has been seen to enjoy regular day-to-day activities when off duty, such as viewing art galleries, listening to music and buying boots, having good conversations with Meilin Lee and The Lee Family and her friends.

Although Staunton obsesses over trying to protect Mei, he does harbor some respect for her and more, though he can't really admit it to himself. He even once mentioned that it was a lucky surprise that Mei and Ming are working with the law.

Staunton also developed feeling towards the Mei and her family. He called "Ming Lee" as a beautiful and good conditioned Jade empress for saving her. He finds Wu to be charming and goodhearted despite of her trustworthy.

Due to his lawful attitude, he was kept honored and respectful when he realize Mei has been caring for him all along after his frightening experiences. Finding the picture during his back-to-back poses with Mei, she realizes that she didn't give him a chance to explain himself, further lamenting herself.

Abilities

Staunton is shown to be an excellent combatant and very capable in a fight. He has impressive wrestling/boxing skills, capable of matching Dr. Ungeheuer in strength and durability. He also possesses great balance, given that in his battles, he always manages to prevent himself from plummeting down near fatal landings (such as near the edges of high buildings or mountain peaks). He seems to have a great deal of lower body strength, given him punching abilities and the fact that he's shown delivering kicks that can send even the burliest of flashlight guards flying.

Trivia
Captain Staunton is my OC version of Sucker Punch's Sly Cooper's adversary: Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox. Unlike Carmelita, Staunton never carries guns with him, only nightsticks, tasers and taser guns and stun guns and pepper sprays and tranquilizer dart guns.
