FINALLY...my first actual deviation for 2012!!!! Pardon my tardiness as I've been VERY busy in the past few weeks of the new year...I had an impromptu move into my new apartment, and even then I had to wait another whole week to actually stay in my place as I had to wait for the people at the gas company to come out to turn my gas on so that I could have hot water and heat! And then, I don't have internet at my new crib yet! To those of you that were wondering, that's why I haven't been around as frequently lately...I can only check from my phone at Wifi hotspots (usually at my job, and I don't have time to do anything), and DA mobile is absolutely crappy when it comes to responding/browsing and such.

Anyhoo...to those of you that have been paying attention, you will know that I had quite a rough slide starting in late summer of '11 and just snowballed out of control. I literally almost lost everything at some point...I quit two of my jobs over some BS (not at the same time ), my car broke down on me for a few weeks, my new job wasn't providing me with the money that I was hoping to make, I fell behind in rent, all of my money went towards rent+late fees+and extra $200 fee and I had none left over to put towards electric/gas/phone/utilies. I couldn't stay in a dark cold apartment so my girlfriend let me stay with her for a while...eventually she and I decided that it would be best if we broke up, as our relationship was stagnant and had been for some time, plus my situation was stressing her out, and the cherry on top was that on Jan 2 I went to my apartment that I had been paying rent on for the past 4-5 months but unable to stay in and the lock had been changed. My stuff was put in storage of the maintenance office at my former complex, so the concern of my stuff being damaged, stolen, or discarded was an issue.

Needless to say, 2011 wasn't a good year for me.

To end 2011/ring in 2012, I wanted to do a piece featuring one of my cyborg gals after an extremely rough battle...Simone got the call, as she's proven to be a glutton for punishment over time (this also ended up being a Kick My Own @$$ remake of this one) and the stories behind and

Basically...I wanted to create a piece that visualized how I felt after what I've endured these past several months. Poor Monie is bloody, battered, beaten, blown up, maimed, dismembered, disfigured, disheveled, stabbed, sliced, shot (Dang, she even caught a bullet right between her eyes to her forehead!!! ), and put through the proverbial ringer something fierce...yet she's still standing and coming for more until her mission is complete and all of her targets/objectives are eliminated!!!

Fortunately for her, she's an incredibly tough and mega powerful cyborg that virtually feels no pain thanks to her state of the art hi-tech mechanical body, her superior programming, and her pain editor implants in her brain!!! Unfortunately for me, I'm not a cyborg with pain editor implants in my brain and emotionally I felt the way she looks at the end of last year; as if life had thrown some of it's best blows at me and caught me on the chin several times, but after taking some of life's stiffest and hardest shots, I'm STILL STANDING, BABY and I don't plan on quittin' at all!!!!

As I was finishing this one up, I've decided to make this part one of a 4 part series of images featuring Simone. Basically, in the next 3 images following this one I want to take Simone from here, to her being completely dismantled, repaired, and finally rebuilt good as new. In the same way, I've gone through being beat down, from being restored, to feeling like a brand new man, thanks to my restored and renewed relationship with God!!! Things have already started taking a turn for the better as I figuratively shake off the hangover from 2011!!!
