As the age of a year peaks this young male, Salim has started to grow out of his Cub - Like features, and is developing a more lanky stature with bits and tufts of mane riddling his juvenile nape & throat. Large strong paws and awkward limbs proceed to grow with each passing day, soon leading up to the glorious Lion he'll fill out into. But for now, lithe and somewhat chubby are what defines him the most. Another trait of his growth is the lack of cub spots painted along his legs and back.
The familiar golden gaze & dorsal stripe however continued to stay present on his pelt.

Around Strangers-

Timid
Strangers aren’t really his cup of tea, he may be a lion but he’s quite the cowardice one with new cats. Salim wants friends, but it may take awhile to get there!

Informative
Salim wants cats and people to know a basis of what he’s all about, and much goes the other way around as he catches onto many different things. First impressions for this kid mean a lot. That being said, make it a good one or he may not trust you for a very long time.

Passive-
Salim will eventually get used to the idea of speaking and go along with whatever said feline intends to do. He won’t really argue against anything unless it proves to be dangerous.

Around Friends and Family-

Friendly-
Salim once you get to know him is a pretty happy go kind of cub. He likes to make friends and get to know as many cats and people as possible. Being trained for the Guard, he’ll need all the social skills he can get.

Sympathetic-
This cub will find a way to relate and sympathize with you in a time of need. Although it may not always be physical or verbal, a look of sympathy goes a long way. Salim will see a lot in the years to come, and those who’ll grief in the distant future may need a gentle touch within clean up.

Hard Working-
Although Salim appears weak, this cub in the core is very hard working. Rather it’s with cats or with his training he’ll do what’s needed to get the praise required. He wants to make those around him proud and if that means rising to the top, he’ll put all his effort into it.

Salim tends to wander and go on adventures not many other cubs would dare do, rather it be hanging with the Elites or doing a task dared by his fellow trainee’s – This little lion will do just about anything.

Background

The previous fall of last year was the year for opportunities. A young couple new to the trade of big cats had recently purchased a youthful white lion to the name of Freckquill. As months passed, they decided the gene of continuing would consist of almost pure white lions, the Barbary male they already owned having a rustic grey to his coat. During the transfer between a young female named Mel and Quill thus the first litter of the couples store was born. Salim and his two other siblings were the almost perfect batch of kittens, the white in their fur shone through brightly although the weak patch of grey clung loosely to their being.

The two weren't pleased with the results to full extent and gave the litter to the market place to a kind man who further had a trade for buying and selling prized or just normal pet or hunter potential lions. The couple kept the whitest of the bunch and a few days after birth Salims sister had gotten ill and passed as well. The cub now only a few months old took shelter in the lion man with another elderly feline by the name of Shana. They didn't interact much before she was bought off as well but the faithful day a man by the name of Jacob, had found interest in the young cub and took him in. He's planned to take up at a Colosseum Guard in the future, and once he's old enough, training will take up.

Bad Habits

Wandering-
Salim tends to lose track of where his train of thought is and.. gets lost essentially. Clumsy paws is a nick name he’s often given by Jacob when Milani brings him back from havoc.

Gore..?-
Salim although a nervous and shy kitty cat at first glance has a thing for gore. He’s not exactly bothered by it and when given the chance tends to try and get a look of the scene and observe the tragedy. It’s more of a way for him to see what works when fending things off … But his owner thinks otherwise.

Which ways home?-
Salim is terrified of getting lost among the labyrinth like city. Theres nothing in his mind more scary than not finding a way back home where the rascals of the city could get him. Besides he quite likes his bed.
