It depends... Yours is a "real" 50mm or do yo uuse a zoom like "28-70mm" ?
There are awesome 50mm which open at f1,8... even f1,4... All right, at f1,8 or f1,4, they are a little bit in the hardest condition but it's amazing the light they can take.

I don't know if there's enough focus on her being in the water, since it's only a tiny bit at the lower part of the picture.
Maybe if it was from a different angle it would show more.

She's a very beautiful girl. I love the shot and especially how she is standing in the water.

sexy, with more than a hint of attitude. the divisions of the composition are nice, and the hues are wonderfully stark. this is one of my faves of late.

faves of late ? what do you mean as in how far late.....what im trying to do is leave all the intricate conceptual/raw emotive portraits for me because i excell in that area...do some other types using me but my main thing is im trying to get out there more, get my name out there, word of mouth so i need to start taking pictures of more people and i think im doing a good job. Thanks for the encouragement!

from what i have seen since i returned, your work with models is brilliant. you have a keen vision behind the compositions you create. i must confess myself hooked.

i think so. you're more discerning with the composition now. and a lot more decisive when it comes to the final shot. its the kind of confidence that comes with experience in one's craft, and it shows through in your work, whether you are aware of it or not...

i like it. the only thing that maybe distracts me a little is the background colour.. it's very bright!

I like it though it seems a bit over-exposed down the bottom. The eye looks cool, how it matches the water in the back but I'm not quite sure if I think it's been "over" manipulated. She looks great, I'm sure she'll love it.

It's weird, because in this picture she reminds me of someone I used to know, who, strangely, was named Ashley.
But this is a great glamour shot. And ignore ~lavyspleen , clearly they didn't read the comments. It's a lovely shot, something that you'd see as an ad for a clothing company in a magazine or something similar.
Nice work as always.

its a nice glamour, i dont know what "lavyspleen: is talking about because you clearly said it was a glamour and those dont technically have a whole to express unless you want it to.
