When the Laki Eruption happened in 1783, it not only started the Demon War but brought environmental changes in most of the world with Iceland suffering the worst. Demon invasions, poison air and severe famines, the residents of an isolated seaport became desperate. They found a dark secret encased in obsidian, still beating. A dark heart that the eruption had uncovered....

Pleading to the heart, it transforms them to breathe the poison air, strength to fight off the demons and eat any flesh. In return, the heart demands sacrifices.
