This has such a successful painterly feel to it, that I was convinced it was a painting at first glance. I'm really impressed with the soft lighting on this. The shadows and colors couldn't be more perfect. Beautiful.

I like how simplistic and the environment feels in this one and how it could flip from melancholy to bright and cheery, just depending on her expression. Here, the expression on her face shows she's off somewhere distant, adding a slight gloom to the room; but if she even gave the slightest smile, this would instantly become much more cheerful piece.
