I would say, even though this is more nestled between political/philisophical and pop-art I suppose, I choose the pop because there's no group for "making some societal statement that has nothing to do with historical events"
Blahness
So in DrawII we were given a piece of brown paper and four china markers (white, yellow, blue and red) and told to draw a paper/fast food bag of choice. I chose the ever popular MickeyDs with a little twist. The paper on the ground I made myself before drawing. Everything else was set up as part of a still life. The object of this game was to create for myself a statement about the differences between commercial/chain restaurants and Mom & Pop places. There may be any kind of difference, from the taste to the toys to the price, but they all end up in the same place: crumpled and dirty on the street.

What does it mean? Are we uncaring in our respect for the environment? Have we been brainwashed into eating at places that cost more because our Tv told us to more times then the other? Are we not feeding the homeless as much as we should? Why do people smoke and throw their butts on the ground without stamping them out or just throwing them two feet to the left into the trash?

Oh the questions... And is *art* the answer...
