Description Pitch did want to know why this girl, Theresa, was unaffected by his nightmare, but watching one child got rather boring. He started to wonder around, looking to see if he could scare any of the children in the camp.

As he walked he saw a little boy staring at him, maybe three years old at the most. Kids that age always believed in monsters, so even if they did not believe in the 'boogieman' himself they could often see him.

"Boo" he said to the kid, glaring at them. The kid turned around and ran to his mother, who told him that nothing was there. Parents annoyed Pitch, as they often ruined the fear he put into kids.

With a sigh he went around the campsite a few times. A lot of the campers were packing up, but the kids were all running around having fun. Eventually he found himself back at Theresa's camp. She and her sisters were now all in swim suits, and getting ready to head to the lake.

"Do you think they have life jackets here?" Theresa asked her mom.

"They do, but they cost too much" Her mom replied, "Just stay out of the deep water"

As they walked towards the water Pitch followed through the trees, figuring maybe he would find out why the girl was unaffected when she faced the water.

-------------

"I saw a huge log in the water a little ways down for diving off of." April, Theresa's oldest sister, said, "We should go there"

As they walked Theresa looked around, at a few points she thought she saw someone in the trees. She thought it was weird, but this was a campsite, other people were bound to be around.

After seeing the guy for the third time she thought maybe they were being followed by some creep and went to point him out to her sisters.

"There's a guy over there" She said, moving her head in the direction of the trees without looking again, "I think he's following us"

Daisy glanced over at where Theresa had gestured, "There's no one there, must have been your imagination. Now come on, April and Arlene ran ahead!" With that Daisy also ran ahead of her younger sister.

Looking back Theresa didn't see the man, and figured her sister must have been right. Still, it made her nervous. Taking a deep breath to calm herself she started to run after her sisters.

When they got to the log they saw that a bunch of people were already diving off of it and swimming around. A few people were on the beach, but most were in the water.

The three oldest kicked off their sandals and went to the water, Theresa's sisters all got on the log and walked out as far as they could before diving off. Theresa had never learned how to swim so she had to stay on the beach or in shallow water.

It wasn't that she didn't know how to swim, she just couldn't. When given even the most basic floatation device she could swim no problem, but without it she was as good as a rock. It made no sense, but every time someone tried to teach her, she just sunk. She didn't care though, she was fine just watching her sisters and hanging out on the beach. If she really wanted, they had brought pool noodles so she could use those.

Normally she would have been in the shallow water, but this lake dropped off so fast no real shallow water existed, except for maybe the first three feet into the lake. At the moment she was laying on her towel and staring at the sky.

After a while her sister Arlene came and joined her, putting her shoes back on when she got on the beach to reduce the amount of sand she got on her feet.

Arlene had been racing some other people and was tired, so she had some to sit with her sister. After a few minutes of resting Arlene went back to the log to dive again, forgetting to take off her shoes.

--------

This is idiotic Pitch thought, getting bored, he had been watching the girl for a while and had seen nothing special about her.

However as he was just about to go through the shadows and find some children to give nightmares to he felt fear rising in someone. Turning around he saw one of the girls sisters was calling for help.

Having forgotten to take off her shoes before diving she was having some difficulty keeping her head above the water. It did not matter to Pitch, and he was about to leave again when he saw Theresa move to help her.

Once again, Pitch could not help but be curios, and moved closer to the edge of the forest. After all, if the girl could not swim and was afraid of drowning, what could she do?

------

When Theresa heard her sister call for help she immediately ran for one of the pool noodles they had brought. Running down the slippery log without a second thought Theresa brought the floatation device to her sister.

"Thanks" Her sister said, initially, then looked at who had handed it to her, "Theresa!? What are you doing? You can't swim, get back to the beach!"

With a shrug Theresa started back to the beach, about half way down the log she looked into the forest and saw that same man again.

She did not have time to process the fact though, as the shock made her lose her balance and fall into the water.
