"It was a daily routine; try and go to sleep once the others have slipped away, fade into a seconds darkness to snap back almost violently into reality and then not bother to try again. I can't try again. But it's so lonely when they're around and I'm here watching, observing, craving, wishing. My actions can go unnoticed, but only for so long before selfishness wants them to see too. And when the brim light rises, it only means the cycle will begin later.
