Why? Jumping spiders aren't harmful to humans in general. They might only jump onto the camers.

If a spider from a family that rarely gets bigger than 2 cm is as big as your palm, you must be really small.

Did you measure with or without the legs? Spiders are generally only measured by the body length, without the legs. However, I'm not big, either, and for covering my palm it needs a Tegenaria-sized spider.

Your spider is definitely a jumping spider, as the eye arrangement and prosoma shape shows. If this spider is indeed bigger than the Hyllus diardi, it might be even possible that it's a yet unknown species, so maybe show it to an arachnologist, especially a local one. If it is a known species it will probably be easily identified due to the unusual chelicerae, if not... congratulations on discovering a new species.

holy crap.. that's incredible! the detail on this critter's face and how every single hair and crevice in its skin stands out is just amazing @_@ the reflection in the eyes is incredible as well..
