For those of you who don't get what this is, Yume Nikki (or Dream Diary) is a completely twisted and creepy game made in RPG Maker 2003. It was actually pretty popular in Japan and there's an English version too. I heard a few things about it and decided to look it up...so I downloaded it last night and beat it this morning. It may only be a few hours long but I enjoyed it.It's about this girl, Madotsuki, that lives alone in her apartment and when she goes to sleep she enters her dream world. All around the dream world are strange nightmarish landscapes and creatures and as she travels through the dream world, she has to collect effects that change her appearance and alter things. It's basically all exploration, no fighting and no dialogue. There's something about it that's truly disturbing though. I don't have a link but google it and see if you can download it.
Either way, about the picture. I think I captured the creepiness of it, particularly with Madotsuki. I was very happy with how she came out |3

but you said you were just starting to draw right? Cause that's pretty good if you're still new at drawing. I mean, you lack a background in I think all of your pictures but that's fine. I don't usually put on in either and they can be hard to do anyway

I actually meant on a scale of one to ten on how bad you comment, but nevermind. Hey do you what where I can find peach color colored pencils or what combination of colors I can use to make that color? I hate leaving a part of Aero white.

Well...the box of colored pencils I have has 50 colors so I have peach. But if all you have is basic colors then if you lightly color in orange (really really lightly) then that could work. That or if you want another skin tone maybe really really lightly with pink. I'd try coloring lightly with a few different colors.

I can't imagine how long you must have spent on this. This is very visually interesting.
Normally I wouldn't like it, but I think the way Madotsuki is off-center is excellent and adds to that unbalanced charm of Yume Nikki.
You did a great job with the characters.
I really like Masada (er, sorry if that's not Masada, my memory is horrible)'s expression; he looks scared to see Madotsuki. Not that I blame him.
The Toriningen looks great. I like those eyes.
The empty black all the way at the back is a nice touch.

This game is pretty scary and trippy but it taught me a valuable life lesson: NEVER PLAY WITH LIGHT SWITCHES!

That's what happened to me last night since I kept flipping the bathroom light on and off (because I was being forgetful and not washing my face because my brain was dead) and at last when I turned the bedroom light off, I clung to the covers in case Uboa appeared XDDDD

It took me fucking forever to complete it though. I mean come on. If you didn't hesitate at going through "Hell", you didn't actually play the game.
